Yup, you heard it right. This website is for sale.
It’s a good blog, with lots of promise. But I just don’t have the time to keep up with it. My other projects are keeping me from updating the blog as regularly as I should.
If you are a serious buyer and want to see the traffic statistics, you can click the project info link in the bottom of the sidebar. That will take you there.
As far as other assets microblogs has:
#2 in Google for “microblogs” (wikipedia has number one)
#3 in Google for “micro-blogs”
First page rankings that are receiving traffic for about 50 other keywords and key phrases.
Also of note, this site does have a direct link on the wikipedia page about microblogs as well as the wikipedia page about “microblogging”.
My sale price: $6500.00 Make me an offer
I will entertain serious offers that are close to my sale price. First come first serve. The first buyer with the cash in hand takes it.
Happy Microblogging.
Could Twitter be used for SEO?
Well yes, of course it can. In many different ways. Because it’s a powerhouse, and Google loves it.
More and more these days when doing a search for a specific keyword or keyphrase, I’m coming up with Twitter feeds as the top result. There’s an awful lot of link love out there for Twitter, and by just using a targeted keyword or two word phrase as your Twitter username, you might just pull in something good.
Think about that for a second. That’s a pretty powerful reason to tweet, right there.
For example, if you were to have the username car_sales , you might be able to do a little SEO around that to get the search term “car sales”. Now that’s a really competitive term, and it’s probably going to be a lot tougher to get than just tweeting, but you might be able to see how it could nab some really good, but more obscure search listings.
But let’s take it a step further and automate it some. Let’s say you have a bail bonds business. Let’s also assume that your bail bonds company has a website and a blog. You could take your blog posts and tweet them to a twitter feed for the user “bail_bonds” or “bailbonds”. If you are already blogging to a regular blog every day, your tweets could be completely automated by using TwitterFeed . TwitterFeed does exactly that. It takes an RSS feed and updates your Twitter with tweets from that feed.
Viola. Instant autotweets. You now have another super heavyweight webpage that is pounding away at a much desired keyword. In this case, a short key phrase. But I’m sure you get the idea.
Discuss.
So ok. I’ve been shifting around looking for lists of people that are either famous, or notable in some way or another and on Twitter.
The list is in no particular order, and if you didn’t make the list, be sure and post your link in the comments.
And be sure to follow me:

Found a really great video today showing the growth of Twitter and companies using microblogs.
I especially liked the part about Comcast. It’s good to know that if I have a gripe about my cable (I absolutely hate it when I can’t watch the SciFi Channel) I might just post a tweet and get some action.
More and more companies are looking to the web for reputation management and customer service issues. Using Twitter and other microblogs is definitely a part of their future in this regard.
It seems that the Chinese Olympic team is in more hot water tonight. Just off the wire, the Olympic Committee is investigating what they are calling, “nothing less than frightening trainer diets.”
But you be the judge. Microblogs has obtained this exclusive photo that sparked the scandal.

I know I’m going to get hate mail. Before you send it, please remember that it’s just a joke. Only a joke folks. Really. Honest. ![]()
Today I came across a pretty good article about how you can use Twitter for business.
We really can’t deny the fact that businesses are testing out Twitter as part of their steps into the social media landscape. You can say it’s a stupid application, that no business gets done there, but there are too many of us (including me) that can disagree and point out business value. I’m not going to address the naysayers much with this. Instead, I’m going to offer 50 thoughts for people looking to use Twitter for business. And by “business,” I mean anything from a solo act to a huge enterprise customer.
You can read the rest of the story here.
Twoorl is cool.
I know, it’s another pretty simple looking microblog system. But I dig it, and it seems to run really smooth. Written in Erlang, which uses the ErlyWeb Framework, it seems like a really stable microblog platform.
The PHP microblog systems we have looked at just don’t seem to have the stability we are looking for. But with Twoorl, we liked it so much that we have decided to put it to the test right here at Microblogs.
That’s right boys and girls. You’ll be able to Twoorl on the front page of Micro Blogs (click the link silly)
If for some reason you are still getting the redirect, please be patient. Our coders are in the process of setting up the framework so that we can run this code. Once done, please use the system and then report back here or in the forums (they are coming soon too, I promise)
Let’s give Twoorl a whirl and see what this baby can do. I look forward to your comments and reviews. Tweet on.
Hmm, Plerb.
I have to say that this one really does not do much for me. It’s clean and simple, yet somehow it seems too simple.
There’s just nothing there except the app.
I’m going to give it a whirl for a day or two and reserve my ultimate judgment, because it might turn out to be really cool. But first impressions are hard to overcome. And my first impression with Plerb is a yawn.
Any thoughts from you guys and girls?
Identica.
A Twitter clone.
Yeah, that’s about all I have to say about Identica….
Not really, just joshin’ ya.
Identica is pretty cool. No bells and no whistles really to speak of. But it is a functional Twitter clone written in PHP and toting some clean features like OpenID.
What I find even more interesting is that this site has a ton of traffic already. Their Alexa rank is 245,361 as of this writing, which is pretty darn good. What it says to me is that the microblog explosion has really only just begun. And though it’s already quite clear that these types of sites are going to be popping up almost every day, I think it is also clear that there are plenty of microblog users waiting in line to use these new systems.
So keep em’ coming, you microblog programmers of the world.
Heck, who knows, I might have my boys start working on a micro blog platform too…. ![]()
We’re working on installing and configuring the microblog forum here at microblogs.
The goal is to provide a community where microblog developers, users, and fanatics and can together.
The forum should be up by Monday, barring any major happenings.
So if you’re looking for a place to hang out and discuss the microblog scene, it’s coming really soon.
Right here.
So keep checking back, and make sure you bookmark this site.
And what am I doing right now? Geez, check my Twitter page for that….
Peace!
